The Hope of Israel (H.I.M.) is a non-profit, educational organization in the United States that has been in existence since 1980. Our purpose is to teach Christians about the Jewish Roots of the Bible, Jewish-Christian relationships, and the prevention of anti-Semitism.
The Hope of Israel is an organization that is primarily engaged in research to provide the church with materials about the history of the Bible from a Jewish perspective. Most of the biblical events took place among the Jewish people and often in their land, Israel. These events were then communicated and written in their language. In order to understand what was written, we need to study the Bible within its Jewish framework to comprehend it in the way that it was intended to be understood. Understanding it from this perspective has an eye opening effect as previously unclear things fall into place and give rise to understanding and knowledge.
We at The Hope of Israel hope and pray that the materials provided here will encourage you to dig deeper into the Jewish roots of the Biblical text. By doing so, you will better understand the Bible, you will know better G-d whom you worship, and you will be able to worship Him better.
